Energy data analysis example 1.

A site carrying out a mix of hot and cold forging activities

The simple analyses shown below are derived from the following commonly available data for the period January 2004 to December 2005.

Gas and electricity consumption and costs figures from the energy bills, 30 minute electronic data for electricity consumption.

This example is limited to energy consumption and cost with no use of production data. A simple analysis of energy consumption as a function of external temperature is also presented.

The example is illustrated by way of a number of graphs. If you would like more information on how to undertake some of the analyses presented please contact us for more information.

A simple analysis of this type gives a number of indictors relating to the patterns of energy consumption and cost. These are designed in a diagnostic way so that the user can focus on areas of concern.

A very brief description is given of each type of analysis. (Energy consumption is in kWhrs and costs are in £ exclusive of VAT and inclusive of the Climate Change Levy).
